Madison EMS is proud to offer an essential life-saving training program – the American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED class. This comprehensive course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergencies and potentially save lives.
During the HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED class, participants will learn how to provide crucial first aid interventions, including managing illnesses and injuries, controlling bleeding, and administering proper care until professional medical help arrives. Moreover, the course emphasizes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, where participants will gain hands-on experience in performing high-quality chest compressions and rescue breaths to sustain the life of a victim experiencing cardiac arrest.
An integral aspect of the training is the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Participants will receive comprehensive instruction on how to operate AEDs safely and effectively, which is crucial in restoring a normal heart rhythm for individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
Madison EMS’s HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED class is open to individuals from all walks of life, including laypeople, workplace responders, teachers, parents, and community members.
